When you are trying to get support data by using supportshow from those Brocade switch with older FOS( before 4.4.0), you can easliy start telnet session by open the telnet session using :
Start=> Run=>
telnet -f supportshow_output_20090108.txt
this will enable the client side logging on this telnet session
The firmware can be downloaded to the switch in one of the following ways:
- Fabric Manager
- Telnet session
- WebTools administration functions
Below listed Brocade core PID definitions:
CorePID 0 (Native Mode)—Introduced in the 2000 series of Brocade fabric switches supporting up to 16 ports. Uses only 4 bits of the area_ID in the FC ID for the port number. Use this setting with MDS 9000 switches in legacy switch interop mode 2.
FC ID / PID 0x021F00—Core PID 0 means domain ID 02, 1 always set, port 15, 00 is assigned for N port or ALPA.
